JUSTIN G. CAMERON, ESQ.

Justin Cameron obtained a Bachelor of Arts in Philosophy with a concentration in ethics from Central Michigan University and obtained a Juris Doctorate from Ave Maria School of Law in 2012. Justin started his legal career as a paralegal and law clerk working at a variety of firms throughout Michigan, Florida and eventually Maryland, where he gained significant experience in condominium and homeowners’ association law. Starting as an associate as Linda S. Mericle P.A. during 2012, he quickly rose through the ranks to become a name partner as of the beginning of 2015.

Justin is actively involved in handling collection matters, violation enforcement, contract disputes, real estate transfers, drafting opinion letters, and advising condominium and homeowners' associations and their board members.

 

Justin is an active member on the Board for Rosaria Communities on which he serves as Treasurer.

LINDA S. MERICLE, ESQ.

Linda Mericle graduated magna cum laude from the University of Baltimore School of Law, where she served as Associate Editor of the Law Review and was a member of the Heuisler Honor Society. Linda has been in private practice for over 20 years with a concentration in condominium and homeowners' associations work, including collections, ACC covenants enforcement, easements, bankruptcy, and many other issues confronting associations and their boards.

Linda is an active member on the Washington Metropolitan Chapter of the Community Association Institute.

ELIZABETH (BETTY) L. HILEMAN, ESQ.

Elizabeth L. Hileman (Betty) has been providing quality community association legal services in the Washington Metropolitan area since 1988. Betty founded and managed Hileman & Associates, P.C., a firm with a focus on community association law, for many years, until becoming Of Counsel to Cameron Mericle, P.A. during 2015.


Betty is an active member of the Washington Metropolitan Chapter and Chesapeake Chapter of the Community Association Institute.

KEVIN THORNTON, ESQ.

Senior Associate

Bar Admissions: Maryland, District of Columbia, US District Court of Maryland, US Supreme Court


Kevin Thornton graduated from the University of Baltimore School of Law where he received the AmJur Award for Torts and UCC and served as an award-winning member of the Law Review. Before joining Cameron Mericle, P.A. at the beginning of 2015, Kevin was an attorney at the Law Offices of Kaplan & Kaplan, P.A. for over thirty years where his focus centered around condominium and homeowners’ association law including, but not limited to: Covenant Enforcement; Amendments to Association Documents; Rule and Regulation Review; Collection of Delinquencies; Warranty Enforcement, Construction Litigation and Zoning cases. Kevin has successfully litigated cases in the US District of Maryland and the Maryland state district and circuit courts. He has also successfully handled appellate cases before the Maryland Court of Appeals, Maryland Court of Special Appeals, the US Fourth Circuit Court of Appeals and the US Supreme Court.

CECILIA FRANKS, ESQ.

Cecilia Franks graduated from the University of North Carolina at Charlotte with a Bachelor of Arts in Business Finance and obtained her Juris Doctorate from North Carolina Central University School of Law in 2013. Cecilia primarily handles sheriff sales, estate planning, and bankruptcy matters.

Stephanie A. Johannessen graduated from the University of Baltimore Merrick School of Business in 2010, with a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration with an emphasis in Finance before attending law school. She received a Juris Doctorate from the University of Baltimore School of Law, with a Certificate in Estate Planning, in 2014. Since joining Cameron Mericle, P.A. in 2016, Stephanie primarily handles real estate contract negotiations and closings, estate planning and administration, and corporate, transactional law matters.

ANGELA TONELLO, ESQ.

Over the course of several years, while concurrently working as a paralegal for a Maryland law firm specializing in community association law, Angela Tonello completed her studies and obtained a Bachelor of Science in Legal Studies from the University of Maryland, University College, followed by a Juris Doctorate from the University of Baltimore School of Law in 2011. Thereafter, Angela founded her own small, private practice based in Annapolis which she managed for several years until joining Cameron Mericle, P.A. in 2017, where she now primarily handles community association law, bankruptcy, landlord-tenant, and general collection matters.


Angela is an active member of the Maryland State Bar Association, Solo & Small Firm and Family Law sections.

MICHELE WITHROW-WILLIAMS, ESQ.

Michele Withrow-Williams obtained a Bachelor of Arts in Government and Polictics and Women's Studies from the University of Maryland - College Parkin 2018, followed by a Juris Doctorate from the University of  Distirct of Columbia in  2011. Michele joined Cameron Mericle, P.A. in 2015 and primiarly handles community association law, collections and landlord-tenant matters, successfully litgating cases in Maryland state district and circuit courts.
